Come and enjoy one of the last dry forests in Guanacaste, take a look at Costa Rica’s national tree from the tree tops. After the explanation and instructions, we climb up a winding star case of 17 mts ready to start the system of cables increasing in distance while we swing from platform to platform. The tour has 10 cables with 11 platforms, the final cable leads directly into the center, making it the final platform, here you will be greeted with drinks, (water, juice, or beer) and a souvenir. All platforms are made of metal; they are designed and built with highest standard materials to provide the best quality and safety for everyone. Cartagena Canopy Tour is 1600 meters in total; what better way to start your canopy tour than at the top of the Guanacaste tree, the national tree of Costa Rica. You will ascend this tree by a winding staircase until you arrive at the first platform, this is 20 meters high and is at the top of the Guanacaste tree. Then you will glide from one platform to another with the use of cables and pulleys, above on of the last unique and impressive dry forests in the area. At these heights you can see and listen to many animals, for example, monkeys, iguanas, raccoons, armadillos, and a great variety of native and migratory birds, as well as a great quantity of butterflies, a part of the biodiversity of plants, trees and lianas.

GUANACASTE OUTRIGGERS, was created to give not just fun, but fun in an adventurous ecologically sound manner. So our tours are funny, interesting and require active participation by our clients. As part of our tour we include snorkeling on coral gardens. We take advantage of the fact that these beaches have the best places for snorkeling in Guanacaste, with a wide variety of coral reef and marine life (These visited beaches are selected from the few ones that features coral reefs at the Northern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica). Our snorkeling part of the tour takes about 1 - 1½ hours; we leave from the beach, and 10 min later we are on the corals. We like to show, at least, 2 different coral reefs with all their sea life. OUR BASE BEACH Sugar Beach ("Pan de Azucar" Beach) is located one kilometer north from Playa Potrero and is our starting point for our tours. Swimming, snorkeling, beach combing, even hermit crab races will occupy your next 45 minutes to an hour. Then a fresh fruit buffet will be served on the beach and you will enjoy our nature walking by the dry forest by 25 minutes. Then its time to paddle back to our base in Sugar Beach ("Pan de Azucar" Beach), where showers and changing rooms are available. OUR DESTINATION BEACH We have four possibly destination beaches featuring white sand, the most clear water, and beautiful nature: Dantas, Dantitas, Las Playitas and Love Beach.
